DAY 4 & 5

Day 4-5: I must admit that I am starving by day 5 (today), but I’ve lost 5 pounds in only 5 days. Yep, that’s right—5 full pounds! I feel amazing too. I find it interesting that I am waking up with so much energy. This morning I went for a 20 minute run at 7 a.m., I know that doesn’t sound like a lot, but honestly I’m not a runner but at least it’s something.

I really want to stop the juice tonight because I’m not sure I could go another day without eating anything. The editor in ELLE magazine could only do it for 4 days and she lost 6 pounds. Seems like she must have been much more active than I have been and that’s ok because everyone’s body is different.

If I do plan to eat today, I will stick to the diet that is suppose to be followed of fresh orange juice, and broth with carrots and celery. I am nervous to eat though because I don’t want to gain any weight back on and because of what my bathroom experiences might be like…YIKES!

JUICY LIPS

This Memorial Day weekend, I head straight to the mall with my mother (best shopping buddy ever) and we picked up some great new cosmetics at the Lancome counter. I walked away very happy with my new JUICY TUBE in Pink Hibiscus. This lip shade is ideal for summer, not to mention, it goes perfectly with my pretty in pink polished nails.

I’m in love with one of Essie’s new polish collections, Poppy. Razzi! Today I am wearing Lights, which is perfect to get the summer days started in Miami.

DAY 3

Day third of the diet wasn’t too shabby. I actually woke up energetic and not hungry! Again, I had to keep active or I’d start thinking about food, and I’d be domed to give in to the temptation of food!

I spun for 60 minutes and also threw in 30 minutes of yoga session. I was even around food all day today, from waffles, pasta to burgers, I somehow said no thanks and asked for a glass of water with lemon. I actually  dropped another pound which was a total shocker. That’s a total of 3 pounds in 3 days.

At first I didn’t think this could actually work. I’m not really the girl that buys into these crazy types of things. But this actually really works; then again, I’m not stuffing my face with mac & cheese and sweet potato fries all day!

Let’s see how much more weight I’ll lose by tomorrow morning– day four…

DAY 2

My second on day on the lemon diet hasn’t been as bad as the first day! The first day in all honesty was one of the toughest days for me. I found myself to be able to control my hunger and keep busy in any way.  I woke up this morning, had a lukewarm cup of water and salt. Then about half an hour after that, I then had a Traditional Smooth Move tea, which was then followed by my first glass of “lemonade”.

I eat breakfast every single day, so I’m usually my hugest when I wake.  The first thing I did to keep my mind off food was to go straight to a 50 spin class; where I sweat to the point that it looked like I came out of a pool, and I completed a total of 500 kcals. Through out the rest of my day, I made sure to hydrate when needed and just kept active. Instead of driving to the where I needed to go to, I walked and even managed to clean my house.

I haven’t really thought about food after this morning and definitely feel way lighter—I lost 2 pounds in 2 days! Seeing results this quick makes the starving way worth it!

THE LEMONADE DIET

Today I started one of the craziest diets that I’ve ever done. The Master Cleanse, once done by Beyoncé Knowles, who dropped and astonishing 20 pounds for her role in Dreamgirls. The Master Cleanse that is also known as the “lemonade diet” is a liquid diet that consists of water, fresh lemon juice, grade B maple syrup, and cayenne pepper—pretty intense, if you ask me, but actually taste great!

The “lemonade” which I actually found out about in the new issues of ELLE magazine, is reported to let you drop 6 full pounds in only 4 days, and that’s drinking it up to 6-12 glasses  a day without any food consumption. Though there are a few more steps that you have to follow while drinking the lemonade, it’s important to know how to also  come off the juice properly once you’ve completed the 10 day process.

I am on day one of the “juice cleanse” and find I have found myself craving everything possible. ELLE magazine states that the second day will be troublesome, and I might face some mood swings. After day four, I probably won’t be craving any food whatsoever, then it’s 6 more days till the end.
